NOVAMATIC 4G WHEELHEAD UNIT
This equipment consists of two cross-mounted slides that provide maximum rigidity, known as “the cube“, with each slide moving on four preloaded and lubricated V-roller guideways.
Precise control of X and Z slide movements is enabled through linear measuring systems that offer sub-micron resolution. The wheelhead unit is fully isolated from the working area.
WORKHEAD UNIT
The workhead unit is mounted on a swiveling plate that can be adjusted manually for convenient set-up and changeover.
It can feature a roll-shoe centering fixture with an integrated load/unload system, a mag-drive shoe-centerless device with an integrated automatic loader that enables load/unload times below 1.5 seconds, or a diaphragm chuck type clamping fixture with enveloping jaws that allows direct mounting of a diamond ring on the workhead for wheel dressing.
DRESSING UNITS
SINGLE-POINT DRESSER:
for single-point dressing, this equipment offers holders for one, two, or three diamonds, depending on the desired wheel profile.
DIAMOND ROLL DRESSER the diamond roll dresser operates hydraulically to move up and down. Dressing occurs through a plunge system with a profiled roll, or through interpolation of machine axes with a forming roll.
DOUBLE-FULCRUM ROTARY DRESSER to achieve wheel radius profiles with form errors less than 1µ, this equipment can support a fixed holder for up to three single-point diamonds or an electric spindle with diamond disk.
The dresser holder rotates electrically, driven by an AC motor through a gear reducer and encoder (E axis).
TURBINE: the electric spindle is is tailored to dressing CBN wheels using a diamond cup wheel.
